Briar Consulting is a boutique consulting firm delivering pragmatic town planning solutions that set a clear path to success. We make it our mission to help you move things forward, collaborating with clients, stakeholders and community to shape better places, economies and communities.

Working across the planning, development and infrastructure fields, we are highly experienced problem solvers, strategic thinkers, policy makers and statutory planners. Our vast experience spans states and countries, across residential, industrial, infrastructure and freight market areas.

Expertise

Briar has experience in corporate strategy setting, town planning services, policy development, approvals and strategy advice. We possess project directorship experience from the perspective of industry as well as local and NSW Government. In recent years we have specialised in providing strategy and advisory services, problem-solving skills, solutions-based policy development, along with strategic and statutory town planning services. We pride ourselves on providing an approach that is practical to implement, inclusive, and easy to understand.

    Development and delivery of social impact assessment policy across all State significant development and State significant infrastructure typologies in consultation with stakeholders through governance committees. Involving benefits analysis, resourcing planning and incremental improvement processes.

    Providing planning expertise for critical corridor projects to enable future, fit for purpose delivery.

    Leading several infrastructure coordination projects assessing whole of government infrastructure needs for growth areas and phasing of delivery. This work includes project planning and project management.
